1. Announcing the regeneration of the Lake Lure Ski Club!

The old Lake Lure Ski club has a big history in this town. Just stroll town hall and you will see the black and white pictures of wooden boats and the youth of the day all decked out with their wooden skiis. Skiing and watersports have always been a big part of the summers in Lake Lure and we at the Lake Lure Adventure Company want to see the tradition continue. (Picture)

Since the days of the ski jump and flag waivers we have had the development of new equipment, such as the wake board and the wake surfer. Although the ski club is packed with traditional activities we are really looking forward to showing off with new tricks. (Picture)

Lake Lure Adventure Company staff, friends, and its patrons will make up a big part of the ski club. Come to town in September and watch us perform for the closing ceremonies of the Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad by the beach cove at the Bald Mountain Resort (formerly Lake Lure Golf and Beach Resort). 2. Welcome new staff!

The Lake Lure Adventure Company has a great staff! Some of the young people who have taught your kids to ski and been a part of your summer vacations over the years are moving on from the Adventure Company. We have two new staff members joining the “family” this 2006 season, Rory Connelly and AJ Nicopoulos. Rory has been coming to the Lake Lure Adventure Company with his family on vacation for the past five years. AJ is a Clemson wakeboarding team member and a talented one at that! Both Rory and AJ will be intructors and are certified through USA Waterski. (Picture)
